The sword of San Vittore found by the archaeologist Dante Sacco will be exposed to the Quirinale stables

The announcement by Architect Marco Musumeci, Director of the National Archaeological Museum "Gian Filippo Carettoni" in Cassino, is reported by the newspaper L'INCHIESTA in an article on Wednesday 21 April 2021. The sword, dating back to the 4th century BC, was found by the archaeologist Dante Sacco in the Fondo Decina of the Municipality of San Vittore del Lazio (FR). The exceptional artifact contains three very important elements: - The name of the blacksmith who forged it: "Trebios Pomponios me fecet Romai". - The first known phrase of the word "Rome". - A "Macedonian" type star that refers to the military cult of Alexander the Great.

San Vittore del Lazio is one of the founding members of the Network of Cheese Municipalities. As reported in the communiqué of the Municipality, the project was born from the desire to build "a partnership between different Municipalities, by position and size, to promote the tradition and quality of dairy products and support a new paradigm of local development, which has its foundations food and wine and networking ". The regained splendor

The restoration work of the Church of San Nicola continues.

The interventions, which mainly concerned the internal flooring, will make the church building usable again. Leading the team that is taking care of the structure is the architect Silvano Tanzilli. By the beginning of 2021 it will again be possible to admire the splendor of the Church which is located outside the walls of the ancient castrum Sancti Victoris, in the place formerly called Borgo del li Greci.

New life for the Mother Church

Work has begun for the reconstruction of the facades of the Church of Santa Maria della Rosa. The church building, located in the upper part of the town near the Largario Corte dei Santi, will benefit from an intervention that will restore it to its former glory.

The start of the works is scheduled for 2021.
